Born and raised in the Bay Area, Dr. Michael is thrilled to serve the incredible families back in his hometown! His passion for dental care was first sparked in college when he joined the University of California, San Diego’s Pre-Dental Society and started volunteering at their Student-Run Free Dental Clinics. There, he was instantly drawn to dentistry’s unique blend of art, science, technology, entrepreneurship, and humanitarianism – all wrapped into one profession.
Motivated by his strong desire to establish early foundations for good oral health, he knew he wanted to make a positive impact in children’s lives as a pediatric dentist. He attended the University of California, San Diego where he earned his Bachelor of Science in human biology, as well as his Master of Science in biological sciences. Dr. Michael became a Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry, and completed his Pediatric Residency at Montefiore Medical Center’s Einstein Campus in Bronx, New York. In 2019, he became board certified by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
For Dr. Michael, nothing feels more rewarding than turning a child’s oral health around 180 degrees and witnessing confident, excited patients emerge from his practice. With his robust experience and empathetic nature, he’ll meet you and your little one right where you’re at with tender, encouraging care and knowledgeable expertise every step of the way.
When he’s not in the office, you can usually catch him visiting museums, exploring local eateries and coffee shops, going on hikes, and traveling. He also loves immersing himself in different cultures and languages – he speaks fluent Mandarin and Spanish!
